Many people in the scooter community know Dylan Kasson as
one of the “OG’S” in the sport of scootering. He was featured in many scooter
movies such as The Tilt Video, Proto Catalyst, Proto Armageddon, and Peachy
crew “Honey and Jekem”. Dylan Kasson grew up in Oho and is one of the most
influential scooter riders in the Midwest. As of now Kasson rides for Satori,
Proto, and Sky High Scooter Parts. Even though he is not officially on the Tilt
team he has been a huge part in the creation of The Tilt Video.
In
2010, Dylan Kasson’s main sponsor (Proto Scooters) released one of the most
influential videos in street freestyle scootering history which is Proto
Catalyst. In this video Dylan Kasson had a two song section that was 8 minutes
long. After watching this film myself I was extremely influenced to film street
edits and it has forever effected my riding.
The main reason I feel that I and other people felt so moved by this
film was because of Kasson’s style of riding. In his video “Forefront” (a
documentary about himself) he talks about why his style is so unique and this
is because when he first started riding nobody
else was riding so he had to make up his own tricks and didn’t have any other
people to watch or look p to which is what led to his style.
